The purpose of Prairie Lakes Area Education Agency Special Education, as a leader in providing services for individuals from birth to age 21 with special needs, is to achieve high levels of learning through equitable access to quality education for each student in an environment of mutual respect, trust, enthusiasm and cooperation.
Major Functions:

  • Develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans for infants and toddlers
  • Develop and implement Individualized Educational Programs
  • Provide free, appropriate services to children/students with disabilities
  • Make changes in our educational systems so that the learning of all students is enhanced
