Join the discussion on Oprah Winfrey and renowned brain development and trauma expert Dr. Bruce Perry's book on the impact of trauma and adverse childhood experiences and how healing must begin with a shift to asking "What happened to you?" rather than "What's
wrong with you."
This book study will include discussions on how the experiences throughout childhood impact not only the mental health of our students, but also their success in school. We will explore strategies to not only recognize these impacts, but also how we can be the protective factors that students need.
