Make it to a Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

50 percent all mental illnesses begin by age 14 and 75 percent by the mid-20s.

Is your staff trained to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health and substance abuse challenges of students potentially struggling in your school?  Prairie Lakes AEA MHFA training team offers Youth Mental Health First Aid training to teach educators how to identify, understand and respond to mental health and substance abuse challenges among children and adolescents. We are currently scheduling YMHFA 6.5 hour training in-district for the Fall and Spring semesters for the 2023-2024 school year.  The training is free and dates are available on a first come, first served basis.  Contact Kim Bodholdt at kbodholdt@plaea.org to discuss offering YMHFA in your district.
