Thanks to the PLAEA Title II Fund for Paraeducator Professional Development – Summer 2023 offered by the state of Iowa, the Paraeducator Certification Courses are now available to paraeducators who are currently hired within a public or accredited nonpublic school for free! Participants will be responsible for their fingerprinting fee which ranges between $15-$25 and the application fee of $115 with the Board of Educational Examiners.
The Paraeducator Generalist I certificate program is delivered in three, 30-hour courses. Participants will be expected to attend one virtual session on the first day of each class with the remaining coursework completed online. Registration deadline: May 31.
