New book study (Engaging Students in the Sensemaking Practices) begins Nov. 29

The second of the three-course series focusing on the Science and Engineering Practices of Iowa Core Science Standards (NGSS); participants will explore the Sensemaking Practices which include: Developing and Using Models, Analyzing and Interpreting Data, and Constructing Explanations. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of these practices, connect to instructional strategies and protocols to support students as they engage in these practices, and practice implementing them through a Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle.
