Lamination provides a simple inexpensive means of protection for posters, pictures, bulletin board
materials, game boards or almost any light flat material. This service is available for K-12 schools and
their staff. Lamination is done with a heat sensitive transparent film which is permanently bonded to
both sides of your material. When projects are sent in via the AEA van routes, you can, in most
instances, expect your project back the following week on the AEA van route.
1.5 gloss, (most popular) 30 cents a running ft. with a $2.40 minimum cost at 25” wide
5 mil gloss, 75 cents a running ft. with a $2 minimum and is 12” wide
3 mil gloss, $1.00 a running ft. with a $3 minimum cost at 24” wide.
Our department offers both 1.7 mil and 3 mil for special projects over the 26” width, both gloss and satin finishes. We can laminate projects up to 60” wide. Please call for quotes and information on your special projects. The larger format lamination is primarily used for larger posters, maps, etc.
Helpful hints when sending items for lamination
Put your name or initials and school name on each of the pieces being laminated. This will help us return the items to their proper owner if they get separated from the job ticket.
Please package your project securely with the lamination form taped to the outside.
Please remember to completely fill out the paperwork, including your work and home phone, preferred billing (self or school) and route and building numbers. This will enable us to contact you with any questions, as well as ensure the materials are returned to you.
What WILL NOT go through the lamination machines:
- Paper clips
- Heavy Glitter
- Raised scrapbook embellishments
- Paper clasps
- Anything metal
- Materials thicker than 1/16 in.
