4 learning opportunities for supporting our Latinx students
According to the Iowa Data Center, in the last 20 years the number of Latinx students in Iowa schools has increased by 266%. The number of Spanish speaking English Learners in public schools has increased by 232.8% over the same period. We would like to extend an invitation to all educators serving these students to join us to learn from Al Exito's Executive Director Dawn Martinez Oropeza about how to better understand and best support our Spanish speaking EL student populations from a community standpoint.
