School safety is focus of Sept. 10 tranings
Prairie Lakes AEA is partnering with Safe Havens International to offer a free workshop designed to offer educators, law enforcement personnel, health care professionals, community members, students, and families insights and approaches that have been used to successfully avert hundreds of planned and imminent school shootings.
There will be three options offered, with the same content shared at 8:30-11 a.m. and 12:30-3 p.m. The content for these presentations is geared for educators, counselors, mental health professionals, health care practitioners, and law enforcement personnel.
The evening session will be from 6-7:30 p.m. and will include similar information shared in the previous sessions, with a focus tailored to include parents, families, and the community.
All of these Sept. 10 workshops are free and will be held in the Little Theater at Fort Dodge Senior High School. Visitors must enter through the main entrance located on the west side of the building.
