Preschool Academy new teacher registration open!
A new school year brings staffing changes within classrooms for both teachers and associates. If this has occurred in your program or district, you can still register for Preschool Academy. Below you will find a list of required and non-required training's that are crucial in starting preschool teachers off on the right foot! Preschool Academy (package of training for new teachers)
Creative Curriculum - 2 days (Aug. 17-18 - Fort Dodge PLAEA office)
Are you a new preschool classroom teacher or associate? Are you new to Creative Curriculum? During this one day training, we will discover the importance and how to embed a researched curriculum.
Teaching Strategies GOLD - 1 day (Aug. 21 - Pocahontas PLAEA office)
Dive into evidence based observational techniques and GOLD assessment. Collaborate with other early childhood professionals on how and what works when assessing young children. This is a MUST HAVE for new and beginning Teachers and Associates. Great review for those currently in the early childhood field.
IQPPS - IELS - Differentiated Accountability - 1 day (Sept. 27 - Pocahontas PLAEA office)
In order for new teachers to understand the outcomes and standards expected in the early childhood program, We will provide a quick version of the expectations and school improvement changes. Facilitators will then highlight the coaching and consultant support provided around these expectations in your early childhood programs.
