2 training options available for non-violent crisis intervention training
Prairie Lakes AEA will again be offering Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) Training/Certification d
There are two options for certification. One option is to receive certification in de-escalation/personal safety techniques. This training is recommended for anyone. The second option is to receive full certification in all units, including the control positions/holds.
NOTE: Full certification is recommended for select team members from the district. Each team should consist of 3 members in the same building. There must be a designated team member who will be responsible for regularly scheduled training sessions with the team. You will need to note who that person is when you register. Please email lvaught@plaea.org if you have questions on who should be trained in the control positions/holds.
The training begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. You must attend the entire day to become certified. Cost is $50.00 and is payable on the day of training by check, cash or district purchase order. Participants should wear closed-toe shoes and bring a sack lunch since time is limited.
