Virtual Reality 2.0 launches summer 2021
We are offering free teacher training this summer on how to lead a Virtual Reality (VREP) program in your middle or high school. (The training is also available for low-cost renewal credit.) In this course, you’ll learn the basics of Blender, a free digital arts program, and how to facilitate the course in which students do 3D modeling, animation, visual effects, and more.
By bringing VREP to your school, you empower students as they take ownership of their own learning, gaining real-world skills that are useful in many career areas (graphic design, filmmaking, industrial design, etc.). PLAEA schools have had success with VREP as an elective course, and it fits well in the Technology, Industrial Arts, or Art departments. The course can also work well for independent study or as a J-term or May term offering.
