Sign up for Child Mental Health First Aid training
Prairie Lakes AEA will offerChild Mental Health First Aid training for the first time! This six-hour course is designed to teach adults how to help children who are experiencing a mental health challenge or are in crisis. This training is a redesign of Youth Mental Health First Aid offering specific learning on helping children ages 5-12.
Child Mental Health First Aid is primarily designed for adults who regularly interact with young people.
The training will be held at the Prairie Lakes AEA office in Pocahontas from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., April 22 with an hour lunch on your own. There is no charge to participate. Class is limited to 30 participants.
