Apply to attend a NASA workshop
The Iowa Space Grant Consortium (ISGC) announces an exciting opportunity for Iowa educators. The ISGC Partner School program will provide funding to support teams to attend a NASA workshop at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The workshop will be Feb. 8-9, 2018. Travel to MSFC will be February 7 and return will be Feb. 10 (based on flight availability). (These dates are tentative and may change based on Marshall Space Flight Center’s schedule). Partners from the 2016-2017 Partner School educators are not eligible for this year’s program.
ISGC will provide registration, travel, and housing for each participant for the workshop. This does not include expenses incurred by the school district related to the teachers attending, such as substitute costs or expenses related to travel to and from the airport. Baggage check fees are not included. Applications deadline is Dec. 15. Questions should be directed to Jay or Carmen at firstname.lastname@example.org
The ISGC sponsors Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) school partnerships to help connect schools to learning opportunities that move the NASA mission forward and increase awareness of STEM careers, especially at NASA.
This year the program will provide support for educator-teams to attend an exciting professional development (PD) experience that links to STEM and the NASA mission for training and bringing their experiences back to their classrooms, schools, and colleagues.
