PLAEA teachers: indicate interest in free computer science courses
Prairie Lakes AEA, in collaboration with Drake University, has been awarded grant funding from the Iowa Computer Science Professional Development Incentive Fund (CSPDIF). The grant allows 60 teachers to take a university level computer science course or courses at no cost to them. The stipend covers the cost for the course. Participants will be responsible for purchasing any required textbooks.
Please fill out this form if you are interested in attending one or more of the following three computer science courses from Drake University this Summer: Computer Science in the Elementary Classroom, Secondary Computer Science Methods, or Introduction to Computer Science.
Teachers within Prairie Lakes AEA have the first opportunity to register. On Jan. 22, registration will be opened up statewide. Remember: Classes are limited to 60 teachers.
