Skill development workshops offered for instructional coaches
A variety of level one skill development workshops were held last spring, and many teacher leaders who attended the workshops found them valuable. These workshops are being offered again. Workshop descriptions and registration information are below. All workshops are held in Pocahontas from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. with time provided for lunch on your own. Click here to register.
Brain Friendly Practices that Enhance Adult Participation and Engagement: Participants experience brain friendly practices and apply them in the development of an upcoming professional development
The Reciprocal Relationship Between Classroom Data and System Data to Improve Student Learning: Participants learn about a protocol for analyzing data and get tips on creating visual displays of data
Conducting Hard Conversations: Participants learn to purposefully communicate to safely involve another person in examining and transforming a conflict
Coaching with Culture and Climate in Mind: Participants consider the current reality of the climate and culture of coaching and develop next steps as well as learn about a teacher self-efficacy survey
