FOCUS 2020: PLAEA Summer Learning Conference
FOCUS (Prairie Lakes AEA Summer Learning Conference) aims to bring educators, counselors, administrators, and other leaders in Education together to engage in learning around the most current and pressing challenges that face us in today’s classrooms. Attendees will be inspired by three nationally recognized keynote speakers, screen a documentary, connect with colleagues and fellow educators, and engage in learning through dozens of breakout sessions. With the following theme: A Clear Vision of Trauma-Informed Education, FOCUS 2020 attendees will leave with a toolbox of strategies to embed Social and Emotional Learning into their daily routine and a renewed spirit and mindset on how to create a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters Social-Emotional-Behavioral Health for ALL students, faculty, and school community members.
Wednesday's Keynote Speaker: Dr. Ross Greene
Thursday's Keynote Speakers: Jessica Minahan and Dr. Matthew Vasquez
Each keynote speaker will also be offering breakout sessions and we will be hosting a private screening of Dr. Ross Greene's documentary, "The Kids We Lose" on Wednesday evening.
